Rosemary welcomed all members to the meeting and acknowledged our land. Many people joined us in person and on Zoom. It was great to see you all.
David Oliver led us in the singing of 'O Canada'.
Speaker: Today we welcomed Past District Governor Fay Campbell. Fay is a friend to many of us. We are thrilled to have Fay join our Rotary Club. She brings with her tremendous experience in Rotary and a passion to make this world a better place.
In the words of Fay Campbell:
"The years have passed so quickly since I attended my first Rotary Club meeting - although it seems like yesterday. The experiences gained from the Rotary Club have opened my eyes to new possibilities and instilled in me a deep sense of purpose and commitment. Rotary has provided a home and a welcoming community for me - it embraces my vision of service and community support. Whenever I reflect on my Rotary journey, I am reminded of the critical importance of leadership development available to all Rotarians; the development of a broader perspective of service above self - a cornerstone of Rotary's mission. As I continue on my Rotary journey, I embrace the power of service , creating a brighter future for all, and enriching the lives of those we serve."
Fay left us with a quote from Brene Brown, "With an adventurous heart and the right maps, we can travel anywhere and never fear losing ourselves"
Our world is certainly richer and brighter with Fay Campbell in it. We look forward to working alongside Fay as we continue our Rotary travels and adventures together.
Happy Bucks!
