04 Oct. 2026 Keep the Music Playing Oct. 04, 2026 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Rotary Barrhaven-Ottawa South is pleased to share a unique opportunity to enjoy an afternoon of music while helping invest in the next generation of Jamaican music teachers. On Sunday, October 4, from 2:00–4:00 p.m., guests are invited to a special Garden Party hosted at the residence of Her Excellency Marsha Coore Lobban, High Commissioner of Jamaica to Canada. Proceeds from the event support the Campbell Oudeh McNamee (COM) Scholarships for Jamaican Music Teachers in Training at the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts in Kingston, Jamaica. Why purchase a ticket? Because your support goes beyond helping one student. By helping a future music teacher complete their education, you are helping them take their knowledge and passion into classrooms and communities, where they can inspire and teach many more young musicians. Your $75 ticket includes an intimate afternoon of classical and Jamaican music in the special setting of the High Commissioner’s residence, all while supporting music education in Jamaica.
