The Rotary Club of Orléans - Wine and Trees Event
The Rotary Club of Orléans is holding its annual Wine and Trees event at Domaine Perrault Winery on Sunday, September 22nd, 2024, from 2 to 5 pm. Proceeds go towards planting trees by local high schools’ students, a project called “the Ottawa Rotary Youth Forest”. Please see the link below for more information and tickets.
The Garden Party was a great event with approximately 50 people in attendance. Despite the cool weather, some brave souls dined outside and took a stroll around the garden.
The afternoon began with talented musicians gracing the air with piano and violin melodies.
All the food and drinks were Jamaican, prepared by Fay and simply delicious. A delightful afternoon eating, drinking and catching up with friends and making new ones.
The funds raised will provide scholarships for students studying to become music teachers at the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts Department in Kingston, Jamaica.
A big thank you to Bill and Sherri Kelly for their gracious hospitality and for opening up their home and garden for the event.
