• Welcome to guest Ian Schwartz. Ian introduced himself and explained that he was keen to join Rotary. We hope that he chooses to jazz up our club. (If you attended today's meeting, you got that.)

• Golf Tournament: Kateri informed us that the Event Caddy software has been purchased and the event website is almost ready.
• BGC Ottawa is forming a foursome for our tournament. (Now is the time for RCOS members to do the same.) David H. and Andre will schedule a time for our club to tour their new facility.
• Environment: There is a meeting Thursday Feb 16 at 7pm via Zoom. Contact Sherri if you wish to attend.
• Sherri told us that there are several District events that we can participate in. From a Great Lakes watershed clean-up in April to No Mow May: help the crawling and flying insects by not mowing your lawn, writing your municipal rep and displaying a lawn sign. Stay tuned for more opportunities to be environmentally friendly and world-wise - coming soon: calculate your carbon footprint, how will you rate!
• The Environment committee will share their info on a cookstove project in Guatemala that is better for the environment and benefits women and girls in the small villages.
• Communication and Programming: Andre has spoken to the Ottawa Farmer's Market and arranged for us to promote Rotary and Community Blend coffee (but no sales) for free at their community booth -  at each of the four markets they run. We can rent a booth (for the season) to sell coffee and he will explore the possibility of renting a booth with other RC clubs. The President of the Farmer's Markets will speak to our club in the future. 
• Andre also reported that there are many upcoming speakers for our meetings (check our website for updates).  
• Community Blend Coffee: The committee will meet to review findings from last week's strategy session and plan for a strong spring and summer.

• On Friday, 31 March 2023 the Rotary Club of Kanata is hosting their Music Trivia Night at the Kanata Legion from 6 – 10 pm. Kateri right away if you wish to participate.
