Kateri played a beautiful rendition of ‘O Canada’. We toasted the King, the good works of Rotary and Aaron Kelly on becoming a Canadian Citizen.
On Friday, 31 March 2023 the Rotary Club of Kanata is hosting their Music Trivia Night at the Kanata Legion from 6 – 10 pm. Kateri suggested we enter a team, and she will be sending an email to the club with more details.
The Golf Tournament is confirmed at the Hunt Club for Monday, June 5, 2023. Jonny will be contacting the committee with details of the next meeting.
Stephen has been looking into a wine tasting/appreciation evening as a membership event. There are some hurdles regarding regulations and he will explore further with Kateri and Dave H.
Dave H is showing leadership by taking a Rotary leadership course.

Kateri reported that their daughter, Bernice, is now in Osaka, Japan for school. One of her profs first went to Japan in the 1970s thanks to Rotary, and it left such an impression on him that he returned years later to teach.
Rosemary told us that she attended a wedding in Mexico for a Rotary Exchange participant that her son, Owen, met in Belgium when he was on a Rotary Exchange 10 years ago.
The Rotary world is cosmic and cosy.
Welcome our new Communications Director - Andre Errett
Andre Errett, who is also the Club's Program Director helping to source and schedule engaging speakers, is now the Communications Director.
After 15 years under the helm of Scott Vetter, the club was ready for change and will benefit from new energy and fresh perspective.
Andre has valuable experience to assist him with the role and is looking forward to forming a committee and working with members to promote our terrific club and activities.
