October 16, 2024 - Barbara Fisk, District 7040 Rotary Foundation Chair
It was a pleasure to have Barbara Fisk speak to us today, in her role as our District Rotary Foundation Chair. Barbara has been a staunch supporter of The Rotary Foundation since Day 1; working continuously at both club and district levels. She has been instrumental in bringing in the new vision for grants in 2013 and leading teams to raise countless dollars for local projects and Polio Plus causes. She was privileged to receive The Rotary Foundation Citation for Meritorious service along with her Major Donor Level 1. She is a member of the Paul Harris and Polio Plus Societies, Bequest Society Level 2, and recently became a Major Donor Level 2.
The mission of The Rotary Foundation is to enable Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty.
The Rotary Foundation (Canada) is a Canadian federally chartered corporation and Canadian registered charity supported solely by voluntary contributions from Rotarians and friends of The Rotary Foundation who share its vision of a better world.
The Rotary Foundation was created in 1917 by Rotary International's sixth president, Arch C. Klumph, as an endowment fund for Rotary "to do good in the world."
