  • Members have been meeting at Browns Cleaners to staple flyers onto outgoing orders, and presentation to other Clubs in the region have started in earnest.
  • Monique reminded us to put a push on for Polo in the Park Ottawa sponsorships and signage sales. Ticket sales (Gen Adm, VIP, Whisky and Wine event) and Picnic Baskets.
  • Alex Davidson thanked everyone who participated in the Roses sales and distribution. 310 dozen were sold and a more structured approach (with lists of previous buyers) will be mounted for next year. Alex also discussed having a card that promotes RCOS added to the roses box.
  • Mack MacGregor said the golf committee is looking for a few more foursome, so please mention this to your golfing friends (singles, doubles or foursome). Volunteers are needed for the tournament (June 4), please let Gary Pluim know of your availability. Final push for Tee signs now.

Happy Bucks
President Joan Hunter was happy to hear our happy thoughts and thanks.

50/50
Sergeant Mahamud Elmi (no, not the Club's Sergeant-at-Arms, he's an actual officer of the law) supervised the 50/50 draw and everyone was surprised to see Allan and Gary win! With our treasurer away we weren't sure of the amount so $500 was voted as the winning amount. Gary and Allan are doubly lucky, usually Sam shares in the ticket buying, but since he is away they only have to split the winnings two ways.

Guest Speaker - Matt Muzzi - Wounded Warriors Ambassador for the National Capital Region
Matt gave a very informative and personal talk that gave us an overview of the organization and its programs. He described the need for the organization and its need for funding; it raises all of its funds via donations.

The Wounded Warriors mission is to honour and support Canada’s ill and injured Canadian Armed Forces members, Veterans, First Responders and their families.
