Happy Bucks
Joan collected our loonies and happy news.
Hector took charge of the cards and dealt Julia a King, not the Joker (good if she was dating, not so good for winning the pot).
Presentation of High School Bursaries
The following students and school representatives joined us for lunch today:
  • Durba Deb / Brookfield;  Alisa Hanrahan, Guidance Counsellor
  • Simar Dhindsa and Thivakar Saravanamuthu / Hillcrest;  Nicole Charron, Teacher
  • Nadia Allen / Immaculata;  Stephanie Byrne, Teacher
  • David Giroux / St. Francis Xavier;  Mrs.Barbara Giroux, Mother
  • Julia Bernard / St. Joseph’s Catholic;  Sylvain Lamarche, Teacher
  • Cherlene Eloria / St. Patrick’s.  Christine Khan-Tayler, Counsellor
They all presented a little information about themselves and their academic plans. They are truly an impressive group; in addition to achieving well academically, all of them are very involved in volunteering and community giving. We wish them well in realizing their goals and dreams, and hope that Rotary plays a role in their future.
President Dawn Cooper ended the meeting promptly at 1:30pm.
