The Findlay Creek Community Association has invited our club to attend their second annual Town Hall Meeting which will take place on Tuesday, March 26th, 2024 at Fred Barrett Arena Hall from 6:30 - 8:30 pm. Kateri and Rosemary have volunteered to attend but we will need more members to help out. Please let Kateri or Rosemary know if you can join us.
Unfortunately, District Governor, Pardeep Ahluwali will not be visiting our club in March due to an injury. We extend Pardeep well wishes and hope he is feeling better very soon.

Rotary Ottawa South’s team for the Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY) to raise funds for Youth Services Bureau and their work to address and prevent youth homelessness raised $1570.00! Way to go to all those who participated and donated to this worthy cause.

Special Guest: Bernice Corbishley, daughter of Kateri and Vik. The title of her presentation, "Into the Unknown, A Canadian in Japan".
Bernice is a university student studying 'Media Studies' at Trent University in Peterborough. From January - May 2023 she was fortunate to attend Kansai-Gaidai University in Hirakata, Osaka, Japan to continue her studies. This experience has changed and molded her in a very positive way.
At the end of her semester, she was able to travel for three and a half weeks (solo). She visited many places, but none as moving and unforgettable as Hiroshima. She was fascinated and captivated with the history of the bombing of Hiroshima during World War II. Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park is dedicated to the victims and their families of the nuclear attack on August 6, 1945. She loves the people of Japan and looks forward to going back as soon as it is possible to explore and learn more about this beautiful country
and its people. Well done Bernice! Daijoubu desu.
