WPBS is from Watertown, NY and services Northern NY and Eastern Ontario, including Ottawa.
The mission of WPBS is trusted as the media source for life-long education, entertainment, and information to our two-nation region through quality content, partnerships, and service that inspires those we serve. They promote community assets through locally produced programs. Three Canadian programs they are working on at present are:
Parking It: Exploring the Outdoors
Whiz Quiz Canada (similar to ‘Reach for the Top’)
Fishing Behind the Lines
Craig’s job is to grow these programs.
Membership is where WPBS gets most of their funding and they accept the Canadian dollar at par. The basic membership is $40.00 per year.
It was a very informative and engaging presentation, some members hung around to ask Craig some questions.
President Joan ended the meeting promptly at 1:30 pm.
