Announcements
  • Bernie updated us on the Golf.
    - Everything is on course for a great day. Pray for good weather.
    - Jacques potentially has four more foursomes and with those we will be at capacity.
    - Menu is same as last year.
  • Polo Update:
    - Stapling of flyers is going really well.
    - Only 7,000 more flyers left from the 20,000 we began with.
    - Monique, Joan, Tanya and Janelle went door to door in Westboro and were successful in getting some silent auction items for the Golf Tournament.
    - Joan has decided to go to Westboro again this week to knock on more doors.
  • Alex Davidson thanked everyone who participated in the Roses sales and distribution. 310 dozen were sold and a more structured approach (with lists of previous buyers) will be mounted for next year. Alex also discussed having a card that promotes RCOS added to the roses box.
  • Bernie suggested we receive an executive summary from the Board meeting to inform us of what is going on in the Club.
  • Check our website homepage for upcoming meetings and events.

Happy Bucks
Carlo took our happy bucks!

50/50
We had to begin again at $50 in the pot. Peter White was not successful in pulling the joker. Better luck next time!

New Member Induction
Peter and Melissa White with the Rotary Club of Ottawa South
Peter inducted his wife, Melissa into our Club today. We are very happy to welcome Melissa!

Speaker
No speaker today, but Joan spoke on our Community Services Work.
  • We started out with $15,000 in our budget.
  • We have $5000 left to distribute.
  • We will give $2000 to Rotary Home.
  • We will give $2000 to Hospice.
  • Joan wrote a cheque for Richmond Food Bank as Peter White expressed a serious need there.
  • Joan also wrote a cheque for $500 to Camp Misquah and Jeff Sirrs will deliver that cheque.

President Joan ended the meeting promptly at 1:30pm.
