Announcements

• O Canada: Eva Hammond sang Oh Canada solo... not solo that we couldn't hear her, in fact it was marvelous.

• Gary Pluim is resting for a couple months on doctors orders and expects to be back at the club at the end of September. We all wish him well and look forward to having some of his energy devoted back to RCOS soon.
• Cash Calendars: The Ottawa West Rotary Club is selling cash calendars for $20 and member are encouraged to buy them directly from RC Ottawa West.
• President Dave will speak with Bobbi at KS regarding options for having meetings and lunch at KS.
• Backpacks: Rosemary will speak to Giant Tiger regarding buying school supplies and also get a price on backpacks. GT has always been very accommodating and provided special pricing to RCOS. We are still hoping to get the backpacks free or greatly subsidized through other avenues. The backpacks will need to be purchased and stuffed with supplies by August 26 to be distributed to families via the Citadel Salvation Army.
