Rotary Thought with David Oliver

Meet David Humphries
I'm David Humphries and today I want to tell you a little about my career and vocational life.
I graduated from the Ottawa Technical Secondary School, a top-rated technical school, in 2008. I went back to adult high school for 2009-2010 graduated with OSSC Diploma.
In 2012, I started a career school in the wedding and event planning industry. I received my Certificate in Wedding and Event Planning  in 2017, which was drawn out over an extended period due to health issues.  I  then returned for a year to achieve a certificate in Festival and Live Productions as well.
I've been volunteering for Rogers TV Community Channel 22 for over 15 years and got to host my own show: Living With A Disability - Brain Injury.
I've worked for Torsa Security for the almost five years and I started with ACE - All Canada Entertainment this past year.
I started my own event company, Dream Show Events, that works specifically with charities, non-profits and low-income earners to help them run professionally arranged events. In 2019, I started our own charity fundraiser, Dreamers Walk Canada for Cerebral Palsy, which achieved non-profit status in 2021. It started in Ottawa and now has branched out to Calgary, Alberta and Toronto, Ontario. There are already plans for Kingston, Ontario and BC next year.
