RoTell - November 4, 2020   Scribe: Rosemary Parker

  • Joan mentioned that Oral Rooke’s partner, Terese, passed away peacefully in September. She was surrounded by her family. There will be no funeral service.
  • Joan is still working with Scotia Bank to set up e-transfer capability.
  • This past weekend, Sam sent out invoices to club members for outstanding due payments. Some of the members received their invoice and others did not. Joan will follow up with Sam.
  • We will have a Remembrance Day meeting next Wednesday, 11 November 2020. Lest we Forget.
  • Joan has proposed Hadi Mortada, our District Governor speak to our board members as well as our club members on Wednesday, 18 November 2020. The Board meeting will be scheduled a half hour before our regular meeting time.
  • If you have an idea for guest speakers, please contact Peter Paulker.
  • Julia Ginley, former member of our club, has asked to speak to us about Distance Learning. Peter will schedule her in.

Restaurants are opening up but only four people are allowed per table. As we are a bigger group we would not be permitted to meet at KS. Some members expressed their concern about in-person meetings and would prefer to continue meeting online. David suggested we meet at a city park once before Christmas for a meet and greet. Social distancing rules apply!
