Meeting held online via Zoom Announcements- Jeanine picked up the Dictionaries 4 Life and is storing them until they can be distributed at Charles Hulse and Cairine Wilson schools.
- Dave gave an update on our back to school backpack project. Rosemary purchased supplies for 100 bags. Jeanine supplied 63 bags and Dave secured 100 more with markers and hand sanitizer included. Thanks to Dave, Jeanine, Mahamud and Rosemary.
- Scott reported that the Rotaract Youth Mental Health project will gear up as the members return for school and get started on projects. A meeting is scheduled for tonight (Sept 3).
- Joan will reach out to some senior members to start a History of our Club project.
- Dues have not been collected for the Apr-Jul or Aug-Oct quarters. An email will be sent out to members requesting payment: either $75 (per quarter) dues or maintaining the $275 (per quarter) payment and receiving a $200 charitable receipt.
- Dave suggested a new fundraising event, since our primary fundraisers were cancelled this year due to COVID-19. He will do some preliminary research nto a car rally and report back to the club.
Happy BucksJoan led our members in a "round table" of what we are grateful for, even in a time of enduring pandemic. President Joan ended the meeting at 1:30. Next Zoom meeting will be on September 16 at 12:30.
