Suzanne Pinel (who will be speaking to our club about Canadian Citizenship on July 18th) also attended the meeting.  She is well-known at area High Schools as she routinely speaks to Grade 10 classes on citizenship.
  • Bernie reported on a successful golf tournament despite the rainy start - numbers are still being crunched.
  • Monique spoke about Polo in the Park and related upcoming events.
  • Ian updated on upcoming events: see list above
  • Joan reported that Dave Gough had tendered his resignation and is joining the club in Carleton Place and that we have made Reg Francis an honorary member.  Both are invited to changeover and Dave has promised to visit us as Santa next December.
  • Check our website homepage for upcoming meetings and events.
Happy Bucks / 50/50
We deferred happy bucks and 50/50 to changeover night.
Bursaries were handed out by Jonny who prefaced this with a summary of what Rotary stands for globally and what our Club does locally.
The students each spoke about their High School activities (from fundraising, to sports, to student council, drama and so on). All have very ambitious plans academically and for their future careers. We enjoyed hearing their presentations and wish them all well i their futures.
