Announcements
  • The Lebanese Festival is July 17 – 21/2019: We will display our banner, hand out pamphlets and collect info for a raffle. There are still some spots available on Saturday and Sunday, contact Sam or Alex.
  • National Car Show on 28 July 2019 from 10am - 8pm at Wesley Clover Park. We need more volunteers to help serve alcohol (need Smart Serve), seel alcohol tickets and sell raffle tickets. Please contact Jeanine or Scot now.
 
 
Decisions
1. Members agreed that spending (over $500) was acceptable for the NCCS expenses (licences, insurance, cooler rental, alcohol)
 
 
2. The Club agreed to make the following By-laws amendment. This amendment was necessary to have a lottery licence.
Dissolution
(i)   It is specifically provided that in the event of liquidation, dissolution or winding-up of the club, after payment of its liabilities in accordance with the Act, all of the assets and property shall be distributed to one or more Rotary clubs and in accordance with the by-laws and procedures of Rotary International.
(ii)  It is specifically provided that in the event of liquidation, dissolution or winding-up of the club, all of the assets and property held or acquired from the proceeds of a licensed lottery event shall be distributed to organizations eligible to receive lottery funds.
 
 
Happy Bucks
Rosemary gladly collected our happy ucks and stories.
 
 
50/50 Draw
Rosemary looked after the draw, Jacques had the winning ticket, Joker had the last laugh.
Pot sits at $135.
 
 
Guest Speaker
No speaker today, we enjoyed each other's company and conversation. Prospective member Pheing Ngo told us a bit about his impressive work in Clinical Kinesiology, both practical and academic.
 
President Alex ended the meeting promptly at 1:30pm.
