Lieutenant General Chris Whitecross speaks to RCOS

We were thrilled to have Canada's highest ranking female officer speak at our lunch meeting on March 9, 2016. Lieutenant General Whitecross, an active Rotarian herself, shared some history and insights into female involvement in the military and the Memory Project.

 

She is an accomplished officer and commanded the podium with ease, sharing many stories and examples of how women have proven themselves and continue to rise through the ranks. Though she was quick to state that there is still a way to go, and that Canada and its military will further benefit with more women considering a career in the military.
