- Polo in the Park Ottawa update from Ian:
- logistically, everything is progressing very well
- everyone should start putting on a push to tell people about the event and actively sell tickets (tickets in advance are $15 rather than $20 on-site)
- still looking for sponsors for: Hat Contest, Aboriginal Dance, 1 team, Horse Jumping: contact companies you know so we can secure these sponsors asap
- Volunteers for International Horse Show at Wesley Clover Parks: we need more volunteers for Saturday to help sell PITPO tickets. Contact Joan or Scott today.
- Stephanie reported that we have speakers until Sept 21, she is looking for good suggestions for future speakers.

Monique was the deal master for our 50/50 draw. Hector had the winning ticket, but his luck ran out as he drew the 2 of Diamonds.
Presentation on Increasing Membership
Dave Gough gave an inspirational talk on increasing our membership, and what his plans are for the coming year. Members were very receptive and it would seem that we can expect a good year of growth; everyone doing their part will add up to a very significant mass effort.
Newly-minted, and very fresh smelling, President Peter ended the meeting promptly at 1:30pm.
